“One World, One Home, One Heart"
Each year 17.3 million lives are claimed by heart disease and stroke, which makes this the leading causes of death around the world—and this number is on the rise.
The theme of World Heart Day this year focuses on creating heart-healthy environments. Exposure to unhealthy diets, lack of exercise, and smoking are all risk factors that make us vulnerable to cardio-vascular disease (CVD). Learning and adopting healthy living habits can keep our hearts protected from this risk, from childhood to adulthood.
