July 11: World Population Day
World Population Day is observed each July 11th and draws attention to population issues like gender equality, reproductive health and sustainable development. This year the United Nations Population Fund has chosen the theme 'Men at Work' or men's involvement in women's lives. This can be as a father, husband, employer, or community leader. In many situations men have a great influence in women's lives and this year World Population Day is focusing on ensuring that these influences are positive ones.
